Military Working Dog Max - US War Dogs Military Service Award

Executive Director Gail Snyder and Ft. Irwin's Garrison Commander presented Retired Military Working Dog MAX H045 with the USMWD Service Award during their general awards ceremony at the Fort Irwin Army Base, CA on Feb. 25, 2014.

MAX was deployed to Afghanistan/Uzbekistan with the 101st Airborne on Jan 2005 through Jan 2006 and returned to serve at Ft. Irwin in February 2006 after being treated for injuries he sustained in the line of duty.

MAX served with the Military Police on the Base at Ft. Irwin from Feb. 2006 until Oct 23, 2013 at which time he was retired and subsequently adopted by Thomas & Angie Boggs. He passed away in August 2014.
